DrawMeNow

A quiet timer for drawing from reference — at your pace, on your device.

How it works

  1. Choose a folder of reference images from your device.
  2. Pick a session length — or set your own with Custom.
  3. Draw each pose before the timer moves on. Pause, skip, zoom, or add a grid whenever you like.

Any reference works

It doesn’t have to be life drawing. Point it at anything you’d like to draw — still life, landscape, architecture, animals, comics, photographs, or your own sketches. If it’s an image, it works.

Finding your timing

A classic session works from quick poses up to longer ones. A good rhythm:

  • Short · 30s–2m Warm up and loosen your hand. Chase the gesture and movement — one flowing line for the whole pose, not detail.
  • Medium · 5–10m Start seeing detail. Block in structure, proportion, weight, and the big shadow shapes.
  • Long · 15m+ Build toward a finished drawing — refine proportion, form, and detail at your own pace.

New to it? Try a few short poses to warm up, then a couple of medium ones.

Handy while you draw

  • Zoom & pan — get in close on a hand or a face.
  • Grid overlay — 2×2 up to 8×8, in a colour that reads over your image, to check proportion.
  • Pause & skip — take a break, or move on when you finish early.
  • Movable toolbar — drag the controls clear of your pose.
  • Sequential or random — work through your folder in order, or shuffle it.

🔒 Private by design

Your images never leave your device. They’re read straight from the folder you choose and shown only to you — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

No accounts, no cookies, no tracking, and no personal data collected. The only thing saved is a couple of your display preferences (like the grid colour), kept on your own device.
